Mass Movement: Slump

Slumps take place as a movement of earth or rock material, often as several independent units, creating a number of step-like "terracettes." Undercutting of slopes by stream erosion, waves, and road building are common causes of slumping.

PUNISHMENT

The gulf oil spill was one to cause extensive damage to marine and wildlife habitats as well as the Gulf's fishing and tourism industries. It is estimated that over 53,000 barrels of oil were being spilled every day. Although the flow of oil has stop, it still is having affects on the wildlife and the people living in that area. The total amount of Louisiana shoreline impacted by oil grew from 287 in July to 320 miles in late November of 2010. I have read that the U.S. government has blamed the BP as the responsible party and officials have committed to holding the company accountable for all cleanup costs and other damage. If this is the case then i vote yes for these people to pay for all damages to the communities and the marine life. I also think that the families of the workers who died should get something for what they've gone through, even a letter of apology would be good. All I want is that the people who are responsible for this should be brought to justice.
